RSMA team walk for Help the Heroes - 14/09/2009

HELP for HEROES

On Sunday 4th October the RSMA team and supporters, are setting off from RAF Digby and walking to RAF Cranwell and then onto RAF Waddington.  The team will be walking approx 22 miles raising money for Help for Heroes.  Other members of the team will be supporting the walkers, at regular watering holes, and check points.

Some of the RSMA team getting ready for the walkThe RSMA team wanted to support the extraordinarily brave men and women of the Armed Forces who had been badly wounded.

Help the Heroes is "about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes."

A 'Just Giving' donation page has been set up making donating simple, fast and totally secure.
